Starting Monday, we are starting new units:

LANGUAGE ARTS: 'Recount'
-Below, is a template that your child will be using to help him/her write a recount.  If you wish to help your child, have your child recount his/her weekend or an event that took place, using this format.

-We will be using the verb tense:  'Passé composé' et 'l'imparfait'.

-Please practise this verb tense at home with your child by going on the Internet.

For example:

-Cette fin de semaine, j'ai visité mes grands-parents.  OR

-Ce week-end, je suis allée au cinéma avec ma meilleure amie Micheline.

-Hier soir, nous sommes allés patiner sur le Canal Rideau.

My name is Ellen Hagar. I am the student teacher in Mme Mathieu`s classes. I am now starting the practicum portion of the Education program, and will be teaching your children over the next 7 weeks.

Dear Parents,

February GOAL!    -  From February 6th to March 3rd.

This month, your child is responsible to read a story 3X and complete the activity sheet. The story and the reading comprehension will be inserted in your child’s ‘Lecture’ duo-tang. Your child needs to hand in his/her reading comprehension every Friday so it can be corrected on the weekend.

Today in Music class, students identified notes to a fun song called 'Skating Along'. We played the song together and several students played by themselves. Bravo les amis!

Devoir: Practice the song Skating Along for next Friday. They will play this song for me next Friday. Students can also practice the song 'Playing C' as well.
